Arcane sources single-origin specialty coffee from lots located in the highlands of Panamá. The western province Chiriquí and its farms have achieved worldwide recognition for producing coffees distinct in quality. An esoteric approach by producers combined with high elevation, rich volcanic soil, and unique microclimates develop a complex, elegant cup.
Finding Panamanian coffee in the United States is surprisingly difficult despite its reputation—bolstered by the highly sought-after Geisha varietal. Due to scarcity of production, Panamá is responsible for less than 1% of the world’s coffee.
Panamanian coffee is still relatively unknown to some; Arcane intends to strengthen the bridge to these exceptional producers, distinguished farms, and passionate culture.
The drive to showcase these coffees began with visits to extended family’s farms, where we cultivated relationships with producers and saw the admirable care they take in their work. Inspired by heritage, attention to quality, and overall rarity, Arcane’s focus is to honor tradition and give access to coffees not regularly consumed.
